1. Question: I would like to apply for business loan, amount of RM500,000. My company turnover is stand at RM3 million for 2 consequences audit years. Do I eligible to apply for the SMe loan? What is the charge amount by your company?

Dear Jeff;  for your info, there are few criteria in order for you to qualify for a SME loan. One of them is your sales & loan amount justification. Basically our fee is based on case to case basis. 2. Question: Dear Sir,
I'm replying to you on ASK A Question (No 7). I have tried to call SJPP in regards to the loan. The fact is they can only help me if it is a SDN BHD company. NOT ENTERPRISE/TRADING. I need to check with you again where else  can i ask for help !

Hi Doris, nice to heard from you again. Basically, SJPP can only offers guarantee to S/B company. If you are running your business under Sole-Proprietorship or Partnership now, you may consider to upgrade to S/B if you want to apply for WCGS and supported by your entrerprise documents. By the way, the fund allocation is only left less than 30% as at 24/5, 12 noon. You really got to hurry up.

4. Question: We are founded 22 oct 2010. We have completed our r n d for Malaysia made wind turbine for renewable energy.
1) can we apply for direct access start up loan? Even when we do not have sales yet? We wanted to sale our wind turbine but ministry of science technology innovation advice us to do the pre commercialization thru them. So our wind turbine will be recognize. But still we need some cash upfront because the will pay based on milestone.
2) our paid up capital is 100k but total we have invested is 140k. Our workshop is in perling by the way.
3) I am one of the shareholder, happens that my dad is Chinese and mom is kelabit Sarawak, but I am eligible for bumiputra peruntukan house. Can I appeal for total bumi status company since the rest of shareholder is bumi?
I started this wind turbine project because I want to resolve the electricity supply that has been haunting rural school and rural village in Sarawak. By the way, my village is Bario. And I hope to push foward my invention to help at same time gives job opportunity to people. Currently I have 6 contract worker during my research and development. Thanks for your time. :)

9. Question: I am in retailing business for the past since 2007. I've tried to apply for business loan from 5 banks and was rejected. I understand there is this SMIDEC Loan (new scheme) started this January 2011. How to apply for this Loan. My SMIDEC Grant is has been approved and i am waiting for my final claims.

Gong Xi Fa Cai! Did all 5 banks informed you the reasons of rejection? You may improve base on their feedback. The new scheme started in Januarya is actually Working Capital Guarantee Scheme (WCGS), which is granted under SJPP. You may viist www.sjpp.com.my for further information. 10. Question: Do you have agent in Batu Pahat?
My company started 2007, I have not submit anything to taxation department. I want to loan but the accountant just did the simple account , I wonder whether can loan more money?

11. Question: we are a newly set-up sdn. bhd.  around 3 mths. Trading of electronic parts & components. Average monthly PO is around 200k.  Suppliers' terms 30 days but 50% upfront cash. Customers'terms 30 days.Now we are looking for a working capital of 300 to 400k. Please advise. Thanks.

hi Michelle, just to confirm, is your newly set-up sdn bhd is a continuation business from a Sole-proprietorship or Partnership? if no, the asnwer would be as the following : Since your company is less than 1 year, you may approach directly to CGC under DAGS-Start Up scheme. Hi KK, the basic documents required are: Directors' IC, personal income tax 2008 & 2009, Business Registration (M&A, Form9, 24,44,49,9), last 3 years audited accounts, latest management account with trade creditors & debtors ageing report, latest 6 months bank statements, list of major customers & suppliers, tenancy agreement (if any), letter of awards/ licences (if any). Hi Chong, if you are facing no collateral problem, you may apply those schemes granted by CGC through Banks. Otherwise, you can also walk in to any of the CGC branches to apply. You may get more information at www.iguarantee.com.my

14. Question: Dear Sir, my company wanted to apply for additional loan from my existing banker but got rejected even our factory value is much more higher than the loan apply.What should we do nex?

Did you bank told you what is the rejection reason? Please clarify with them. Otherwise, you may approach other banks to refinance your existing from your existing bank by giving you additional loan and with cheaper rate. The market is very competitive now, some bank is still aggressively hunting for new customer.

15. Question: Recently I have received a call from a guy and told me that he is agent for SMECorp and can help me to apply for machinery grant up to RM500K. Is that true?

hey CK, all grant schemes offerred by SMECorp have been discontinued by 1st December 2009 and pending the introduction of new financial assistance schemes. Furthermore, SMECorp never appoint any agent or consultant for grant application purpose. Please visit www.smecorp.gov.my  or call 1300-88-1801 for more information. Be aware of all the agent or so call 'consultant'.

17. Question: I have recently been rejected by one of the local bank for my business loan. The reason given was my company to new and only 2 years in operation. What should i do next? please advise

  Answered by Consultant:Dear James, this may only due to the internal policy of that local bank which is not keen to offer business loan to a company less than 3 years in operation. However, there is still some other bank which are keen to offer.
